Go to the official website of Free Blu-ray Copy, and click the Free Download button to download the software. Then, follow the onscreen instructions to install it and open it.
Click the Help option at the top left corner to choose the Check Update button to check the latest version. If there is a late version, you can follow the instructions to update the software.
Before starting the Blu-ray copy process, you can adjust the preference settings based on your habits by clicking the Preference button under the Tools menu. The preference settings allow you to change the general preference and Blu-ray copy preference.
• General: Navigate to the General tab, you can choose to check for update automatically, enable loading Blu-ray automatically, and play sound when event occurs. Also, it allows you to change the temp folder and delete temp files when done.
• Blu-ray Copy: Navigate to the Blu-ray Copy tab, and you are capable of changing the default target size (BD-50/BD-25), encoding speed (fast/slow), and encoding quality (normal/high).
If you want to copy your Blu-ray disc, you need to insert the Blu-ray disc into the drive before starting the copy. Then the software will automatically detect the disc in a few seconds, and ensure the Internet connection is in good condition.
Note: Most Windows computers have a built-in optical drive, however, many new Windows computers no longer come with built-in optical drives in the quest for thin and light designs and more efficient performance. You should connect an external drive to your computer first if there is no internal drive.
Free Blu-ray Copy provides four copy modes for users to choose from: Full Disc, Main Movie, Clone, and Write Data.
This copy mode copies the entire content of the Blu-ray disc, including the main movie, bloopers, menus, etc., preserving the original structure.
Step 1. Click the Full Disc button in the left panel, then choose the source and target folder or file in the right panel, which supports Blu-ray disc, Blu-ray folder, and Blu-ray ISO image as both input and output formats.
Step 2. And you can also edit the volume label and change the target size (BD-25/BD-50) according to your needs.
Step 3. Then, click the Start button to start the copy process. And the copy will be finished after several seconds.
It copies only the content of the main movie, optionally preserving the audio track and subtitles, removing bloopers and menus to save space.
Step 1. Click the Main Movie button in the left panel, then choose Blu-ray discs, folders, or ISO files as the source and target area in the right panel.
Step 2. After that, choose the chapters, titles, audio tracks, and subtitles that you want to copy and select the target size (BD-25/BD-50). Then, click the Next button.
Step 3. Then, click the Start button to start copying your Blu-rays. Only after a few seconds, the process will be completed.
This mode creates an exact 1:1 copy of a Blu-ray disc, including all data and encrypted information, which is suitable for backing up or restoring the original disc.
Step 1. Click the Clone button in the left panel, then select the input and output format from your Blu-ray disc, folder, or ISO image as the source and target folder or file in the right panel.
Step 2. Finally, click the Start button to start the copy process. Wait for a few seconds, then, you will get your Blu-ray copy.
It allows for copying the content of a Blu-ray Disc to blank media in the form of an ordinary data file, which does not preserve the structure of the disc, but only serves as file storage.
Step 1. Click the Write Data button, then select the source and target file or folder, which accepts Blu-ray discs, Blu-ray folders, and Blu-ray ISO images as input and output formats.
Step 2. After that, click the Start button in the bottom right corner to start the copy process. And after a few seconds, it will be finished.
Note: If you want to write data from a Blu-ray disc, folder, or ISO file to another Blu-ray disc, you need to additionally insert a blank disc before starting.
